Connected for Kids National Launch Webinar
Creating a new national roadmap to help all children flourish in the elementary years.
November 13, 2025
Pamela Cantor, M.D. joined more than 600 leaders across education, youth development, mental health, philanthropy, and pediatrics for the national launch of Connected for Kids, a new cross-sector initiative dedicated to helping every young person flourish in the elementary years.
During the session, Dr. Cantor shared how context and relationships shape brain development, influencing which genes get expressed and how children build the capacities for resilience, learning, and well-being. She emphasized that trust is the antidote to stress, that belonging helps children believe they are worthy and capable, and that curiosity is driven by the powerful chemistry of oxytocin and dopamine that makes learning feel exciting and possible.
Other speakers, including Dr. Jane Quinn and Jennifer Blatz (StriveTogether), highlighted the role of partnerships and civic infrastructure in creating coherent supports for children and families.
